The Power of Persistence


Can you recall a time in your life when you were absolutely relentless about achieving or attaining something to the point where you drove others and maybe even your self a little crazy? Welcome to the power of persistence.

Of course this is a virtue and trait, which can certainly be overwhelming at times. On the other hand… What an amazing gift.

Looking back on the accomplishments in my life, which give me the greatest amount of pride, I can honestly say that none of them were achieved without a massive amount of persistence.

Persistence has no time for self-pity.

Persistence has no time to wait.

Persistence is an opportunity to harness what you truly desire with an incredible amount of speed and accuracy.

Persistence enables us to hone in and achieve laser like focus in order to accomplish the desired result.

Take a look at your life and I believe that you will find the values you hold dearest to you in your life are the things you will find it easy to acquire all of the persistence you need to breakthrough any challenge related to them.

Utilize these values as your secret weapon.

Anything you are looking to achieve, ask yourself how to achieving it will benefit the values you hold dearest to you in your life and you will have a newfound level of persistence to fight with.

Weighing Your Progress For Weight Loss

If your not measuring your progress, how do you know if you are progressing?

YOU Are Always Right


The mind is the most powerful tool we have at our disposal. Nobody quite understands what exactly controls the mind, but many explain it as the SOUL or spirit of unconditional love.

Regardless of your beliefs, positioning ourselves for success and failure begins and ends with how we perceive any situation; compared with how we perceive our own capabilities and value we can bring to that situation.

Every day we stand witness to those doing “the impossible”, yet many feel this could never be them.

I strongly disagree.

Defeating your own self-doubt is simply a matter of how far outside of your comfort box you are willing to allow yourself to step.

How persistent you are with the challenge in front of you. How many times you are willing to get knocked down only to rise up stronger. The level with which you actually DESIRE the outcome you say that you want.

The truth is that we are all capable of the unthinkable and it all comes with a DESIRE so great that it drives us to take massive action over and over again until we defeat the challenge.

It isn’t a matter of if you are or are not capable; it’s really simply a matter of identifying what we truly desire to the point where we are willing to do whatever it takes to get ourselves off our duffs and into the grind.

The question is…what is this desire for you?

Knowledge Really Isn’t Power


Knowledge is power…right?

If you think about it, knowledge loads us with the utmost of potential to take what we have learned and just explode with results.

That said, what happens if we do nothing with it? What power did that knowledge provide you then?

Potential power.

So many of us (MYSELF AS ONE OF THE BIGGEST CULPRITS) feel that we must gain more and more and more knowledge in order to have success when in fact this really is not the case.

It’s the amount of knowledge that we have which we apply and take MASSIVE ACTION with in order to serve others and have an impact on their lives that makes us successful.

So next time you find yourself sitting and pondering what else you can learn just as I was before I started writing this, take a minute and ask yourself “What do I already have that I am able to offer myself and others?”

Then apply that knowledge like hell.

Applied knowledge is truly what will give us power.

Immerse Yourself Into Your Weight Loss

When we are serious about something, we surround ourselves by it.


MexiCali Chicken


2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup Organic Low Sodium Salsa
1 cup water
2 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
(Optional) 1 jalapeno (with or without seeds for spice)

1. Clean chicken breasts by removing all excess fat pieces
2. Add chicken to bottom of crockpot
3. Add salsa, water and dry ingredients on top of chicken and mix well
4. Let sit BEFORE turning crockpot on for 30 minutes
5. Cook on low for about 4 hours (because you are using just chicken breast, you shouldn't need any longer than this even on low).
6. Using tongs and a fork, shred chicken, and add back into remaining juice.

Serve over cilantro-lime cauliflower couscous or on top of a salad!

Makes 5 servings
