No winning is not everything but when it comes down to your own personal goals, just playing just doesn't cut it.

When we play something like a sport, we participate for enjoyment and also to be a part of something special.

When we start playing around with our personal goals and dreams, there is much more on the line, and taking our focus off the win can be detrimental.

Every single person is different and we all hold varying degrees of importance on our own personal goals. That said, I think we can all agree, when we fail to reach our personal goals and give up on them, it knocks us down a peg.

Why? Because in someway shape or form, it causes us to doubt ourselves which leads to a questioning of our own capabilities and self worth.

Again as we said before, winning is not everything but at the same time when it comes to your personal goals, casual play just won't do. Playing for the win becomes a must.

Does this mean you will be victorious every time? Well… No and yes.

You may not win the battle in front of you and that's not a problem at all as long as you played to win.

If you played to win, you gave it everything you had and you left it all on the field. The experience provided you with feedback enabling you to adjust and go after it again and again with greater preparation every single time.

Being consistently persistent with your pursuit and your efforts, there is no loss because you are playing for the win over and over again knowing failure in the long term is not an option.

When you play this way, you ultimately win the war.

What's even more interesting is when we look at breaking boundaries. The greater the challenge we receive along the way, the greater the value we build around attaining the goal.

That being said, if we don't fall along the way, The value of playing for the win is not as high and ultimately not as fulfilling.

So take a good look at your goals and ask yourself if you are playing for the win. Are you doing everything in your power to learn from your past experiences and approach the challenge differently time and time again?

If you answered no and in fact are no longer playing for the win, I challenge you to re-visualize what you want at this point and time in your life, and mark this as the turning point where again you have become laser focused and relentless in your efforts to play for that win.

How successful are you at fulfilling your commitments?

Every day we commit to many things in all areas of life.

We commit to our health.

We commit to spending more time with our family.

We commit to personal growth.

This all sounds perfect, however how many of us actually follow through with these commitments for an extended period of time?

The answer is about 8%. Startling isn't it?

This means 92% of people fall short and give up on themselves, and yes I did say give up on themselves.

Let me ask you a question… How can we ever commit to anyone or anything fully if we aren't committing 100% to ourselves?

The answer is that we can't.

So how do we start? Well the answer may not be exactly what you want to hear. It is going to take work and it is going to take commitment.

That's right, we must become committed to being committed.

The good news is that this is a very simple process, that when practiced over and over again leads to your desired result.

Everything you desire to become committed to, simply answer the following question by creating an exhaustive list of benefits.

"How will your commitment to X benefit what is most important to you in your life?"
Answering this will prove to you be on the shadow of a doubt just how much committing to a cause will bring to your life.

As people, we never do anything in our lives and less we are going to benefit from it. This is neither a good nor bad thing, it is simply a fact.

As long as we are able to understand this, and we are committed to doing the work necessary to prove this to ourselves, we then hold the power to control our end results and commit with certainty.

Breaking Boundaries

The truth about boundaries in this world is that there are none.

The only boundaries that exist are the ones we create in our minds and limit ourselves with.

Think about it…

We are finite beings living in an infinite universe and you mean to tell me you are going to define something as unreachable just because it challenges you?

It’s time to break the boundaries.

What we think about we bring about.

If it is impossible in our minds, than this is what will be.

If our minds believe there are no boundaries, the world opens all of its doors to us.

So what happened? Did someone tell you what you desire in life is impossible?

Ok…what’s wrong with that?

Absolutely nothing is wrong, other than the fact that you may have believed them.

Let me ask you a question…

If getting what you wanted were simple, how much would attaining it mean to you?

On the flip side, what does it mean to you when you struggle and finally break the boundaries?

It means possibilities.

It means empowerment.

It means you have become what you desired.

Imagine a world without boundaries. Now open your eyes and recognize this is the world you live in because it is.

Embrace it, push it, reach for it and break your boundaries.

Conditioning

Everything and I mean absolutely everything is a matter of conditioning.

Greatness is a matter of conditioning just as mediocrity is.

Why is this?

Because both are based upon a decision. Am I going to put in the time and condition myself to be great? Or am I not which will then position me for mediocrity.

Conditioning is a state of affairs, which must exist before something else is possible or permitted.

In order to be great, there is a massive amount of conditioning which must exist for this to be possible.

In order to be mediocre, anti-conditioning or the conscious negligence of conditioning must also exist for this to be possible.

Every single day I hear people talk about the possible and impossible.

It's impossible to do that.

I can't do it because I'm not smart enough, strong enough, good enough.

That is going to take too much time for me.

That looks way too hard.

It's not impossible to do that.

I can do this because I'm smart enough, strong enough and good enough.

This is going to take a lot of time but it's worth it to me.

This looks hard, but I got this.

All of these sayings and beliefs are a matter of conditioning. Whoever says these statements over and over and over again will 100% be correct because of the previous conditioning they have just provided themselves.

Interestingly, many times in life we are our own worst enemy. Through our own negative self-talk, we talk ourselves out of success, stunning our ability to maximize our own potential.

This too my friends is also another form of conditioning.

The beautiful thing about conditioning is that every day, we wake with the choice of whether we are going to choose the conditioning of greatness or mediocrity.

The past is the past. This we cannot change. Now, however is a different scenario. Right now we have the power to choose whatever we desire whether it be greatness or mediocrity.

Both choices are followed with either action towards what you desire, or in action away from what you don't.

So choose, but choose wisely and most importantly… Pay attention to what you say you want, and what your actions speak.

Keep it Simple

There is a beautiful quote saying, "Simplicity is the ultimate complexity."

Why is it that many people consistently find themselves over complicating everything in their lives?

Is it because they just don't know any better?

No.

Is it because they just don't know what to do?

Not at all.

On the contrary… The problem lies in the fact that The work hasn't been done to refine a complex situation into the most simplistic and understandable form possible.

Long story short, the time hasn't been put in on the front and to achieve simplicity on the backend.

When facing any challenge or problem head-on, chances are there is going to be the need for a strong investment of time and/or resources upfront when coming up with a refined solution.

Why is this worth the effort?

Let me answer that with another question… If you have one situation with a very simplistic solution, and another situation with a very complex multifaceted solution needing a high level of management, which one is easier to manage?

The answer is very obvious of course.

So how does this open the door for you?

The more simplified you make everything that you manage, the more you are able to manage. The more you were able to manage, the more opportunities and doors you will open for yourself.

It's that simple.
